Blanche Neige is an oil on stretched canvas, 15×15 cm. One of her 1st oils, made at the end of 2013. Here we have a twisted version of most little girls’ favorite fairy tale, Snow White. She is ripping her heart out and eating it on advice of Sin, the great green snake, who is seductively whispering in her ear. Green, like money. Also, she is a robot to symbolize our society’s uniformity, and a naked one at that for the omnipresence of sexuality. The pose is inspired by the ad for Dior “J’adore” perfume, incarnated by Charlize Theron. This piece represents the condition of women in our society : matters of money over the ones of the heart, stigmatization of sensuality, and a contagious conformity born from the need to belong somewhere. We couldn’t be any further from the fairy tales we grew up on… Currently exhibited in Bordeaux, France.
